# Omnik

## Supported models

The method that this driver is using to connect to the Omnik inverter is undocumented but has been reported to work for a wide range of Omnik models and WiFi kits. It has been reported to work for inverters with the following WiFi S/N's:

* `160xxxxxx`
* `161xxxxxx`

If this method does not work for you, please [create an issue on GitHub](https://github.com/DiedB/Homey-SolarPanels/issues). If it works, and you have a different WiFi S/N, please message me so it can be added to the list.

## Pairing

### Finding the IP address

{% hint style="warning" %}
Make sure your Omnik inverter has a static IP address. Homey might lose its connection to the inverter over time if this is not the case. This can be set up in your router.
{% endhint %}

The IP address is needed to establish a connection between Homey and the inverter. It can be found on the LCD screen of the inverter. Click on the large white button on the inverter, until you find a screen similar to this one:

The IP address is stated in the upper part of the screen.

### Finding the WiFi S/N

The WiFi S/N is needed for authentication with your inverter. It can be found on the LCD screen of the inverter. Click on the large white button on the inverter, until you find a screen similar to this one:

![S/N screen](https://153628370-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-legacy-files/o/assets%2F-MVC5BT9o83HfZhVwmhb%2F-MVC5GBwG6vDZxk2b1hh%2F-MVC75C4nV66sibrTSo2%2Fscreenshot.png?alt=media\&token=c7be9cf0-b16e-4d74-a819-c0d5f91754e1)

The number is your WiFi S/N and can be entered in the Homey pairing screen.
