The method that this driver is using to connect to the Omnik inverter is undocumented but has been reported to work for a wide range of Omnik models and WiFi kits. It has been reported to work for inverters with the following WiFi S/N's:
160xxxxxx
161xxxxxx
If this method does not work for you, please create an issue on GitHub. If it works, and you have a different WiFi S/N, please message me so it can be added to the list.
Make sure your Omnik inverter has a static IP address. Homey might lose its connection to the inverter over time if this is not the case. This can be set up in your router.
The IP address is needed to establish a connection between Homey and the inverter. It can be found on the LCD screen of the inverter. Click on the large white button on the inverter, until you find a screen similar to this one:
The IP address is stated in the upper part of the screen.
The WiFi S/N is needed for authentication with your inverter. It can be found on the LCD screen of the inverter. Click on the large white button on the inverter, until you find a screen similar to this one:
The number is your WiFi S/N and can be entered in the Homey pairing screen.
